AEROSOL
was a simple idea born out of frustration of working a repetitive full time
job, coupled with a strange ant problem in the office.
Initially a short tale of a man driven progressively mad by a frustrating
six legged visitor, it was a statement on how things that we see as intrusive
on our everyday routines can sometimes teach us most about the true nature
of our being.
AEROSOL was made on AUD$29,000 (USD$22,000). Nobody was going to get rich
on this one... As a commercial, it would have probably cost over USD$500,000
but we managed to finish the film within the budget. As one can only have
two out of the three: CHEAP, GOOD and QUICK, these ten minutes of film took
two years of our lives.
AEROSOL was granted $29,000 as part of the New
South Wales Film and Television Office's "Young Filmmakers Fund"
Round
12.
